experience
I have been building docks, decks, seawalls, and boathouses in Orlando, FL for over seven years now. Dellefave Contracting just completed a big project for the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission in Lake City, constructing a 180-foot aluminum fishing pier. Another highly successful and large scale project was the marina in Lake Wales, bringing the community to the water with walkways, seawalls, decks, and areas to dock residences’ boats. I have constructed many residential projects, each expanding my knowledge and portfolio of work. Currently, I am working on a series of boardwalks weaving through a natural wetland in central Florida for a large developer. I am excited to share more information upon the completion of this project.
Dellefave Contracting has established an efficient system with a specialized team, utilizing powerful equipment such as our barge, crane, vibratory hammer, jet pump, skid steer, and mini excavator. Quality equipment equals effective and efficient performance, but I still complete a lot of work by hand. My experience in welding allows me to custom fabricate products out of any material for a project.

My background in construction started back in high school, when I went to Mid-Florida Tech to get welding certifications while working as a plumber. I then began attending the Commercial Diving academy out of Jacksonville. In 2009, I immediately began working for contractors performing dredging. By 2015, I started Dellefave Contracting and was fully self employed renovating houses. I did top to bottom renovations becoming skilled in every facet of constructing a home.
A client who was highly impressed with my work discovered my underwater welding certifications and hired me to build my first dock. That’s when I recognized the demand for quality dock construction here in Central Florida, just like that my business took off!

A: We utilize a wide range of specialized tools and equipment to adapt to each unique job site and project. Our commonly used equipment includes our self-powered crane barge, mantis hammer, skid steer, mini excavator, track saw, mud mixer, compact truck loader, scuba gear, jet pump.
Q: How do you protect the surrounding ecosystem and waters during construction?
A: We follow best practices to minimize impact on the shoreline and waterways. This includes using silt curtains and turbidity barriers to prevent sediment from spreading into the wate, choosing marine-grade, environmentally safe materials that won’t leach harmful chemicals, scheduling work around sensitive wildlife seasons when required, and securing proper permits before starting.
